How are we already a month into the new year? It sometimes scares me how quickly time seems to go!
I thought I’d starting myself goals for each individual month rather than the entire year as a whole as this makes them seem a lot more achievable to me. I’ve always liked breaking things down into small chunks rather than tackling a large goal head-on, so this is the way I’m going to motivate myself to get things done!
1) Learn how to use Photoshop
In the marketing industry, there is always something new to learn. I’ve got most of the skills covered but Photoshop is the one that lets me down. Photoshop skills are so valuable for a number of reasons and I want to start building a proper portfolio to show to potential employers in the future. So, I’ve downloaded a course on this software and I’m going to get started at the start of the month.
2) Read four books
The beginning of the year was very relaxed but now at work, we’re well into the new year – and it’s getting busy! I know for a fact that my February schedule is going to be packed, so this is a good goal to aim towards when it comes to my reading. I might try and read one of the books on my 2018 TBR. If you’d like to keep up to date with what books I’m reading, please feel free to add me on Goodreads!
3) Walk Dollie everyday
If you didn’t know, Dollie is my beloved sausage dog. She hates going for walks, especially in winter, but she really does need some more exercise. I love taking her for walks and it’s exercise for the both of us – win, win!
4) Work out three days a week
I downloaded the Carly Rowena Get Gorgeous Guide at the start of the year and I honestly haven’t had the time to start it! January has been a month of madness so I thought I’d kick off my fitness goals for the year by starting this guide in February. I really do enjoy exercising, it’s a big stress reliever for me. Stemming off from this point, I also really need to start strengthing my back. I have had the worst chronic back pain for as long as I can remember and I need to do something about it because I am starting to get very badly affected.
So here are my goals for February 2018! I believe these are all pretty achievable. I’ve written them down on here so hopefully, I’ll be even more inclined to complete them. I’ll do a roundup post at the end of the month to let you know how I got on!
Do you have any goals for the month ahead? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear them. Let’s all motivate each other!
Pin for later!
